Well Water Standards and Contractors' Exams and Study Material
EXAM REQUIREMENTS
New applicants must provide the department with an Exam Application to get started. No fees are accessed for examinations. All information must be completed on the application, including the date the application was submitted to the department. The exam application must be received prior to the submission deadline. Any application received after the deadline will be denied access to the upcoming exam and will be added to the next scheduled exam date.
Applicants must successfully complete the applicable examination sections required by the license type they wish to hold (listed below). All applicants must take the Nebraska exam regardless of license type, except when applying for the natural resources ground water technician category. All applicants taking the examination must achieve a score of at least 70% on each required examination section(s) to successfully complete the examination requirements for licensing. When an applicant satisfactorily passes an examination section as required, the applicant need retake only those section(s) which have not yet been passed. If an applicant wishes to retake the exam(s), the applicant will be required to submit a completed Re-exam Application to the department. The applicant will follow the same guidelines as an initial exam application.

After successfully passing all examinations required for licensing. The applicant must complete an Application for License, pay the required fee, and provide all applicable documentation listed on the application to the department. After the application has been received and approved, the applicant will receive an initial printed license.
