Regulation of electric utilities is handled locally and by the Nebraska Power Review Board. The Board has the authority to receive formal complaints filed by Nebraska ratepayers, conduct hearings and render determinations related to fair service agreements.

Jurisdictional utilities are regulated by the regulated by the Nebraska Public Service Commission. The Commission has the authority to work with customers to resolve issues with jurisdictional natural gas utilities related to service quality and billing.
