Expenditures per Capita


Energy expenditures per capita in Nebraska decreased $713.20 (11.1 percent) from $6,453.10 in 2022 to $5,739.90 in 2023. Expenditures per capita in Nebraska for the year 2023 were 23 percent higher than the nation's expenditures per capita of $4,657.10.

In 2023, Nebraska spent $11.4 billion on energy which was less than one percent (0.73 percent) of the United States' energy expenditures.

Expenditures per capita peaked in 2022 but fell in 2023 remaining a little high historically.
