Compressed Natural Gas Consumption as Vehicle Fuel in Nebraska


Compressed natural gas (CNG) consumption for vehicle use was low in 2025. Consumption was at the bottom boundary of the five–year range from January to February. In April, consumption was in the lower half of the five–year range. During the rest of 2025, consumption was below 2024's consumption, the five–year average, and the five–year range. (Figure 1)

Figure 1 is a graph showing the monthly amount of compressed natural gas (CNG) consumed in Nebraska as vehicle fuel.
