LINCOLN, Neb. — The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (DWEE) was awarded $10.8 million for the Grid Resilience State and Tribal Formula Grant from the U.S. Department of Energy.

Kirkman’s Cove Lake in Richardson County has been removed from health alert.

Samples taken earlier this week at Willow Creek Reservoir measured above the threshold of 8 parts per billion (ppb) of total microcystin, which is a toxin released by certain strains of blue-green algae.

The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (DWEE) generates a vast number of public documents related to regulated facilities. It’s important these documents are managed correctly and made readily available for both the department and the public.

DWEE’s Records Management Section oversees this vital work. They work with the agency’s programs to ensure documents are filed correctly, make those documents accessible for the public, and respond to public records requests.

The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy will coordinate the annual meeting of the Nebraska Small Business Compliance Advisory Panel. The meeting is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on October 16, 2023, in room 23 of the DWEE Building at 245 Fallbrook Blvd, Lincoln.
