Motor Gasoline Consumption


In Nebraska, data for three grades of motor gasoline (regular unleaded, midgrade, and premium) are reported. The data does not include the gallons of gasoline blended with ethanol. The reports on ethanol–blended fuel consumption, the total of motor gasoline consumption and ethanol–blended fuel consumption, and reported miles traveled during the driving season have additional information in relation to motor gasoline consumption.

Annual Data

In 2024, annual gasoline consumption of 136,373,249 gallons was 32.7 percent higher than the 102,733,157 gallons consumed in 2023 as shown in Figure 1 and the data table below.

Figure 1 is a bar chart showing annual motor gasoline consumption in Nebraska.

Monthly Data

Monthly consumption in November of 2025 was above the five–year average, above November 2024's (last year's) consumption, and above the five–year price range. (Figure 2)

Figure 2 is a graph showing monthly motor gasoline consumption in Nebraska.
