Ethanol and Unleaded Gasoline Average Rack Prices

As of December 2024, the rack price of ethanol was $1.69 versus $2.09 for unleaded 87–octane gasoline—a difference of 40 cents per gallon. The average ethanol rack price was one cent lower from last month's price and 13 cents lower from last year. Unleaded 87–octane gasoline's average rack price was two cents lower than last month's price and 14 cents lower from last year. Unleaded 84–octane gasoline's average rack price was two cents lower from last month's price and nine cents lower from last year.
