Applicability

eCFR Subpart AA [ecfr.gov]

This subpart applies to:

  1. Affected facilities at steel plants that produce carbon, alloy, or specialty steels: electric arc furnaces and dust-handling systems.
  2. Facilities that commence construction, modification, or reconstruction after Oct 21, 1974 and before August 17, 1983.

Affected facilities:

  1. Electric arc furnaces;
  2. Dust-handling systems.


Affected facilities that commenced construction, modification, or reconstruction after August 17, 1983 are subject to NSPS AAa.
