Applicability

This subpart applies to:

  1. Affected facilities at steel plants that produce carbon, alloy, or specialty steels that commence construction, modification, or reconstruction after Aug 17, 1983.

Affected facilities:

  1. Electric arc furnaces;
  2. Argon-oxygen decarburization vessels;
  3. Dust-handling systems.
