This subpart applies to:

1. Affected facilities at iron and steel plants that commence construction, modification, or reconstruction after Jan 20, 1983.

Affected facilities:

1. Top-blown basic oxygen process furnaces (BOPFs).
2. Hot metal transfer stations and skimming stations used with bottom-blown or top-blown BOPFs.

Any BOPF subject to this subpart are also subject to the parts of NSPS N that apply to affected facilities that commenced construction, modification, or reconstruction after January 20, 1983.
