Primary Aluminum Reduction Plants
Applicability
eCFR Subpart LL [ecfr.gov]
This subpart applies to:
- Affected sources associated with primary aluminum production located at Major Sources of HAPs*.
Affected sources (New & Existing):
- Pitch storage tanks;
- Potlines;
- Paste production plants;
- Anode bake furnaces.
*Major Sources of HAPs emit or have the potential to emit:
- ≥ 10 tons/year of any single HAP; or
- ≥ 25 tons/year of total HAPs.
- Area Sources emit less than Major Sources.
Not subject to this subpart:
- Existing anode bake furnaces not located on the same site as a primary aluminum reduction plant;
- Potroom groups or anode bake furnaces electing to comply with NSPS S.
