Fullerton Community Outreach and Well Decommissioning Project

The City of Fullerton plans on conducting extensive community outreach to locate unused, abandoned water wells within the Wellhead Protection Area. The city will then properly seal and decommission these wells at no cost to the owner. In addition, the city also has two inactive municipal wells that will need to be properly sealed and decommissioned. Lastly, one unused municipal well will be retrofitted into a monitoring well to determine key water quality data and provide early warning of decreased water quantity.
