Phosphate Rock Plants - Subpart NN

Applicability

eCFR Subpart NN [ecfr.gov]

This subpart applies to:

  1. Affected facilities in phosphate rock plants with a maximum production capacity greater than 4 tons/hour (3.6 megagrams/hour) that commenced construction, modification, or reconstruction after Sep 21, 1979.

Affected facilities:

  1. Dryers;
  2. Calciners;
  3. Grinders;
  4. Ground rock handling and storage.


Not subject to this subpart:

  1. Facilities producing or preparing phosphate rock solely for consumption in elemental phosphorus production.
