Applicability

eCFR Subpart T [ecfr.gov]

This subpart applies to:

  1. Individual batch vapor, in-line vapor, in-line cold, and batch cold solvent cleaning machines that use any of the following in a total concentration greater than 5% by weight.
    1. Methylene Chloride (CAS No. 75-09-2);
    2. Perchloroethylene (CAS No. 127-18-4);
    3. Trichloroethylene (CAS No. 79-01-6);
    4. 1,1,1-Trichloroethane (CAS No. 71-55-6);
    5. Carbon Tetrachloride (CAS No. 56-23-5);
    6. Chloroform (CAS No. 67-66-3).


Source Classification

  • Existing source = installed on or before 11/29/1993
  • New source = installed after 11/29/1993

  • Facility-wide emission limit (new in 2007)
    • 5/3/10

Compliance Dates

  • Existing source = 12/2/1997
  • New source = 12/2/1994 or upon startup
  • Continuous web cleaning = 12/2/99
  • Facility-wide emission limit (new in 2007)
    • Installed on or before 8/17/06 = 5/3/10
    • Installed after 8/17/06 = 5/3/07 or upon startup

Notice of Intent to Test

  • 60 days prior to test

Initial Statement of Compliance Report

  • 150 days after compliance date
  • 5/3/10 - Facility-wide emission limit (new in 2007)
