Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Application
The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program (EECBG) application period is open through April 15, 2026. The EECBG Program assists States, local governments, and Tribes in implementing strategies to reduce energy use and improve energy efficiency.
Eligible projects include upgrades to improve performance of building envelope for government structures, heating, air and ventilation upgrades in government buildings, replacement of existing lighting equipment for government infrastructure, and energy efficiency workforce development and training.
Projects for these competitive grants should improve the community by providing long-lasting benefits such as decreasing the community’s energy burden, increasing energy efficiency, and job growth. This program will provide funding for communities based on their individual needs.
Applicants must include their application, the EECBG Program Budget Spreadsheet, and the EECBG Lighting and Project Metrics Template when submitting their application. Informational documents regarding the Davis Bacon Act, the Build America Buy America Act, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) review, historic preservation, and ACH enrollment are also available on top of this page.
