Hot Mix Asphalt Facilities - Subpart I

This subpart applies to:

1. Hot mix asphalt facilities that commence construction or modification after June 11, 1973.

Affected facilities:

1. Dryers;
2. Systems for screening, handling, storing, and weighing hot aggregate;
3. Systems for loading, transferring, and storing mineral filler;
4. Systems for mixing hot mix asphalt; and,
5. Loading, transfer, and storage systems associated with the emission control systems.

Definition of "Hot Mix Asphalt Facility:"

• Any facility used to manufacture hot mix asphalt by heating and drying aggregate and mixing with asphalt cements.
