Equipment Leaks of VOC in Petroleum Refineries - Subpart GGG

Applicability

eCFR Subpart GGG [ecfr.gov]

This subpart applies to:

  1. Affected facilities in petroleum refineries that commence construction, modification, or reconstruction after Jan 4, 1983 and on or before Nov 7, 2006.

Addition or replacement of equipment for the purpose of process improvement, without a capital expenditure, is not, by itself, considered a modification.


Affected facilities:

  1. Compressors;
  2. Any of the following in VOC service:
    1. Valves;
    2. Pumps;
    3. Pressure relief devices;
    4. Sampling connection systems;
    5. Open-ended valves or lines;
    6. Flanges or other connectors.

Affected facilities that commenced construction, reconstruction, or modification after November 7, 2006 are subject to NSPS GGGa.


Not subject to this subpart:

  1. Facilities subject to NSPS VV or VVa.
  2. Facilities subject to NSPS KKK.
