Crude Oil and Natural Gas Production, Transmission, and Distribution - Subpart OOOO

Applicability

eCFR Subpart OOOO [ecfr.gov]

This subpart applies to:

  1. Owners or operators of onshore affected facilities that commence construction, modification, or reconstruction after Aug 23, 2011, and on or before September 18, 2015.


Affected facilities:

  1. Gas wellheads
  2. Centrifugal compressors
  3. Reciprocating compressors
  4. Pneumatic controllers
  5. Storage vessels
  6. The group of all equipment within a process unit*, except compressors.
  7. Sweetening units


Hydraulic fracturing and refracturing operations are included in this subpart.

The compliance date for this rule is Oct 15, 2012, or upon startup, whichever is later.

*"Process unit" means components assembled for the extraction of natural gas liquids from field gas, the fractionation of the liquids into natural gas products, or other operations associated with the processing of natural gas products.
