eCFR Subpart MM [ecfr.gov]
This subpart applies to:
- Affected sources at kraft, soda, sulfite, or stand-alone semichemical pulp mills that are Major Sources of HAPs*.
Affected sources:
- Existing chemical recovery systems at kraft or soda pulp mills;
- New nondirect contact evaporator recovery furnaces and associated smelt dissolving tanks at kraft or soda pulp mills;
- New direct contact evaporator recovery furnace systems and associated smelt dissolving tanks at kraft or soda pulp mills;
- New lime kilns at kraft or soda pulp mills;
- Sulfite combustion units at sulfite pump mills;
- Except Unit # AP-10 at Weyerhaeuser Paper Company's Cosmopolis Washington facility.
- Semichemical combustion units at stand-alone semichemical pulp mills.
*Major Sources of HAPs emit or have the potential to emit:
- ≥ 10 tons/year of any single HAP; or
- ≥ 25 tons/year of total HAPs.
- Area Sources emit less than Major Sources.
