Phosphate Fertilizers Production Plants

Applicability

eCFR Subpart BB [ecfr.gov]

This subpart applies to:

  1. Affected sources at phosphate fertilizer production plants that are Major Sources of HAPs*.

Affected sources:

  1. Phosphate fertilizer proces lines (e.g. diammonium and/or monoammonium phosphate process lines);
  2. Granular triple superphosphate process lines;
  3. Granular triple superphosphate storage buildings;
  4. Evaporative cooling towers.


*Major Sources of HAPs emit or have the potential to emit:

  • ≥ 10 tons/year of any single HAP; or
  • ≥ 25 tons/year of total HAPs.
  • Area Sources emit less than Major Sources.


Not subject to this subpart:

  1. Research and development facilities.
