Generic MACT Standards - Acrylic Fibers/Modacrylic Fibers & Spandex

This subpart applies to:
- Any of the following at Major Sources of HAPs*:
- Acetal resins production;
- Acrylic and modacrylic fibers production;
- Carbon black production;
- Cyanide chemicals manufacturing;
- Ethylene production;
- Hydrogen flouride production;
- Polycarbonate production;
- Spandex production.
This subpart includes Generic MACT/NESHAP requirements for the above facilities. See also specific requirements for certain affected facilities under NESHAP SS, TT, UU, WW, and XX.
Not subject to this subpart:
- Research and development facilities.
*Major Sources of HAPs emit or have the potential to emit:
- ≥ 10 tons/year of any single HAP; or
- ≥ 25 tons/year of total HAPs.
- Area Sources emit less than Major Sources.
