Maps and Data

NDEE programs collect data through a variety of means, including groundwater and surface water sampling, ambient air quality monitoring, and reports submitted by regulated businesses and industries. These data are used extensively to support the department’s regulatory responsibilities and to an increasing extent are also available to provide the public with information regarding environmental quality, conditions, and concerns.

Interactive Mapping

The visual representation of data through mapping will continue to expand and increase in importance due to the extensive amount of data available, and the dynamic, ever-evolving nature of both data collection and mapping technology.

The Interactive Map is a web based mapping application that provides a visual representation of regulated facilities/entities. As of August 2020, the map server is new and improved.

The map contains many data points, so it may take a minute to load.
Each dot (data point) on the map represents a regulated facility.
You may view documents for facilities/entities.
To view limited information about a facility and the associated programs, click on the dot and select “Show Facility Details
Click on the Docs icon to see documents for a specific facility.
If no documents return, then no documents are available for that facility.

Documents received or generated prior to April 2011 may NOT be available for viewing through the map server.
Paper records could exist.
Contact the Records Management Section to inquire, NDEE.Records@nebraska.gov or 402-471-3557.

NOTE: Occasionally, documents are too large to open through the website. If a document does not display, please call 402-471-3557 or email NDEE.Records@nebraska.gov with information about the document.
