Nebraska's Propane Consumption as Vehicle Fuel
During 2024, propane consumption for vehicle use continued to be volatile as reflected in Figure 1. Consumption dropped in both February and July. February's drop was not the norm reflected by previous years. July's drop was the usual drop but lower than normal. Consumption spent the year, for the most part, in the five–year range and below the five–year average. During the first half of 2024, consumption was below last year's consumption, but during the last half of 2024, consumption was equivalent to last year's consumption.
According to the data table below, propane consumption as vehicle fuel had been a bit bumpy from month to month during past years and annual totals had been declining but consumption seemed to be rebounding in 2021 and 2022.
