Rebate Application Period Extended for Replacements of Diesel Refuse Trucks
The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality’s 2018 Clean Diesel Rebate Program has re-opened the application submission period for rebates to replace eligible diesel refuse trucks with new trucks fueled by diesel or compressed natural gas. The new application deadline is 5:00 PM Friday, March 8, 2019.
NDEQ will reimburse up to 35% of the cost (up to a maximum rebate of $110,000 per truck) of new trucks powered by compressed natural gas and certified to meet specific air quality standards, or 25% of the cost (up to a maximum rebate of $70,000 per truck) of new diesel trucks. Each applicant may apply for replacement of up to two trucks. Refuse trucks with diesel engine model years 1995 through 2006 are eligible for replacement.
