Nitrates and Your Water System Workshop Scheduled Oct. 29 in Nebraska City
Sept. 17, 2013 -- The workshop “Nitrates and Your Water System” will be held in Nebraska City on October 29, 2013.
Goals of this workshop are to offer an opportunity for drinking water system operators, administrators and municipal officials to learn about approaches to protect groundwater from nitrate contamination and strengthen collaboration in protecting our drinking water sources. Featured speakers include representatives from The Groundwater Foundation, University of Nebraska, Lower Loup and Upper Big Blue Natural Resources Districts, Hastings Utilities, Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality, and both Iowa and Missouri Departments of Natural Resources.
The workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Farmers Bank and Trust Co., 202 S. 8th St., Nebraska City.
This workshop is free of charge. Because space is limited, attendees should register by October 21.
