The Climate Pollution Reduction Planning Program was created through the Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grant. NDEE received $3 million through this grant to develop and implement a Priority Climate Action Plan, due by March 1, 2024, and a Comprehensive Climate Action Plan, due in late summer 2025. Completing these action plans makes Nebraska eligible to compete for implementation grants to carry out actions detailed in the plans.
