Feb. 3 Meeting to Discuss Possible Waste Regulation Changes
January 16, 2015 -- The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality intends to propose regulation changes later this year to Title 132 – Integrated Solid Waste Management Regulations. The proposed amendments to Title 132 clarify existing provisions and create new provisions to streamline permitting functions and continue to protect the environment.
NDEQ has scheduled a public outreach meeting at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, at NDEQ’s Lincoln Offices at 1200 N St., Room 424. NDEQ issued a memo to solid waste managers and other stakeholders regarding solid waste issues, to inform them of the proposed changes and the Feb. 3 meeting. A copy of the memo is included below.

The meeting will begin with a brief presentation of the proposed changes by NDEQ Waste Division staff, followed by questions and open discussion.
