Environmental Update Meeting Scheduled March 22 in Lincoln
February 10, 2012 – The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality has scheduled the annual Environmental Update on March 22, 2012 at the Lincoln Firefighter’s Reception Hall, 241 Victory Lane, Lincoln. Representatives from businesses and industries are invited to attend, ask questions, pick up new information, and provide feedback. Registration begins at 8:00 am.
This year, NDEQ’s Director Mike Linder will discuss NDEQ News, Activities and Outlook. NDEQ also will have a multi-media panel discussion on what every business should know from an inspector’s perspective. In addition, NDEQ representatives will present information on groundwater monitoring, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) general permits, and air quality regulatory updates. There will also be presentations from the Nebraska State Fire Marshal’s Office, WasteCap Nebraska, and the Environmental Protection Agency - Region 7.
If you plan on attending, please complete the registration form, which is attached to the agenda below. There is a $20 registration fee (lunch included). Registrations should be submitted to NDEQ by March 8.
